Whoa this is first time I see Candice, she's HOT. What a pretty smile she has. Well, as spanish I've some things to say:
· Spain is one of the biggest countries in Europe with around 45 M ppl (I know that by US standards this is too few, but many countries in Europe haven't got even 10 M ppl) so "spanish" is a very heterogeneous term. Some areas, Ibiza is a good example but also Málaga, Barcelona or Valencia (mainly tourist cities) are known by their open attitude towards sex. But zones of the interior, less populated, are usually more conservative: Soria, Mérida, Teruel...
· Politicians sex scandals have been very common here. Take a look to the video inserted in this post (http://barriorojo-esl.blogspot.com/2010/04/caso-gurtel-los-ladrones-van-la-oficina.html). It has subtitles that can help u to understand it.
· Recently has raised a polemical controversy about prostitution ads in newspapers. Our socialist government wanted to ban this ads (http://barriorojo-esl.blogspot.com/2010/05/la-polemica-sobre-los-anuncios-de-relax.html).
Some papers (Público or La Razón) don't accept this kind of publicity. But others do, and Pedro J. Ramírez (director of El Mundo, well know here by his opposition to our actual govern) has firmly defended the freedom to publish these announcements.
· About foreign girls stereotypes depend of nationality. American, british, scandinavian girls are very popular here and is a kind of triumph for a man to be the boyfriend of one (specially a tall, blonde, blue eyed german or swedish girl). But girls from some other countries are viewed as ho's because there are a lot of them working in the sex industry: romanians, russians, brazilians, colombians, nigerians... Maybe gipsy romanians are the one with worst fame of all, but thats just a prejuice, I'm friend of many and they are really wonderful girls.
A "Latin Lover" is better than a "Don Juan" any day of the week in my book, Cliente X. :-)
